“Beautiful Pilot” is the premiere episode of the FX sci-fi horror thriller series The Beauty, which debuted on January 21, 2026. Written and directed by prolific TV creator Ryan Murphy, the episode introduces a world obsessed with a highly contagious, sexually transmitted virus that grants flawless physical perfection but comes with a gruesome, hidden price tag.

The pilot episode kicks off with a shocking, chaotic incident at a high-end Balenciaga fashion show in Paris, France. A supermodel (played by guest star Bella Hadid) goes on a violent rampage, leads a high-speed motorcycle chase, and eventually explodes due to the virus’s volatile biological toll.
Following the incident, FBI partners Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) are assigned to investigate. Their inquiry leads them down a rabbit hole of suspicious supermodel deaths and the uncovering of the “The Beauty” virus. Meanwhile, a separate storyline introduces Jeremy (an incel obsessed with physical transformation) who contracts the virus via a surgeon and undergoes a grotesque transformation into a completely new man (played post-transformation by Jeremy Pope).
